The Annual Celebration takes place at the end of the end of the school year prior to “Stars & Stripes” summer vacation. It is a major school event and is one of the most challenging and motivating school events. It consists of stage performances in music and physical education. All performances reflect the daily guidance the students receive throughout the year. The students are highly recognized for their hard work and effort by their teachers, parents, and other people who work with them. Upon receiving well-earned applause from the audience, the students gain confidence from this experience.

Emergence Program Activity

Emergence Program has a different Sports event exclusively for EP on the day of Annual Celebration. The parents and guardians of EP students are invited to participate in an activity with their sons and daughters. The activities reflect what the students have been learning from Higashi’s Physical Education curriculum. After the morning activities students, parents and guardians enjoy a picnic lunch

Using the school year theme of 'Inspire', our students did just that. In a year where they thought they couldn't have an Annual Celebration, students persevered and put on a show to remember. Recorded for families in an empty gymnasium, students performed like they were hosting a sold out show!
