Ryu Goto has been performing since he debuted at the age seven. He has appeared as a soloist with many international ensembles around the globe. When Ryu learned about the history of Boston Higashi School, he wanted to share his music with our students. A diverse audience of students, parents, teachers, special guests and many of his fans from the metro Boston area filled the concert venue. Ryu was accompanied by pianist, Pei-Shan Lee for a program that included Beethoven’s violin sonata, Paganini’s variations for solo violin and Dovorak’s Humoresque . Ryu created music with his 1715 Stradivarius violin that held the rapt attention of his audience. His encore exhilarated the audience for any evening that is not soon to be forgotten. A portion of this performance will be broadcast by a Japanese TV channel 12 on April 30 in Japan. Ryu Goto will appear at Carnegie Hall in New York in May 2010.
Ryu Goto is currently a student at Harvard University.
