Dr. Tager-Flusberg, the Director of the Center for Autism Research Excellence (CARE) at Boston University, spoke on Monday, January 4th, at our first Parent Collaboration Meeting of 2016. She spoke to a large crowd of parents and staff about some preliminary findings from the three projects under the ACE (Autism Center of Excellence). These included early trends in EEG and MRI data and interesting possibilities for the intervention study. She also discussed what the team has learned about collecting data with minimally verbal children and adolescents with ASD.
About the study:
Minimally Verbal Autism Spectrum Disorder: From Basic Mechanisms to Innovative Interventions – Enrolling children and young adults with Autism Spectrum Disorder ages 4 through 21 years to learn why some individuals with autism do not develop spoken language.
