Special Subject Teachers
Teachers needed for Art, Music and Physical Education. Develop, organize and implement individual Subject curricula for each student with the context of Daily Life TherapyŽ. Order and implement all materials needed for subject. Prepare information (i.e. educational assessments, individualized Education Program (IEP) goals and objectives, quarterly progress reports) and /or attend periodical IEP meetings. Have knowledge of entire curriculum for times when covering classrooms in a teacher's absence.
Participate in all student activities including: extensive physical exercise, various forms of exercise including lifting, standing, squatting and jogging one to three miles daily. Develop an environment that is organized and stimulating and reflective of the student's participation in the creation of this environment.
Will receive training in Daily Life Therapy, CPR, and First Aid, Non-Abusive Psychological & Physical Intervention (NAPPI) and the Massachusetts Curriculum Frameworks. Will assist in the development of educational assessments and individual education plans for students including goals and objectives.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in designated subject, possess certification or in the process of securing certification, must be able to work in a multi-cultural environment and possess initiative and excellent communication skill.
